Bookkeeper

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices, along with a passion for creating a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments for multiple companies.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet and Income statement accounts on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Provide guidance and training on bookkeeping procedures and policies, including creation of SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
  • Assist with tax filings and other compliance-related tasks.
  • Assist with bookkeeping and supporting software implementation.

Requirements:

  • Certified Professional Bookkeeper designation (CPB) – preferred.
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in Bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, particularly Word and Excel.
  • QuickBooks Online Software knowledge, or similar program experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Field Service Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

OVERVIEW

McGrimmon Corporation is looking for a Field Service Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic. This individual will have their own service truck and will be responsibly for servicing our Heavy-Duty Equipment at our job sites throughout the Ottawa Valley and the Pontiac Area. Heavy Equipment Mechanic repairs and maintains heavy duty equipment; responsible for diagnosis, repairs, assembles and disassembles on large equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspecting heavy construction equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, in the shop and in the field
  • Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
  • Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
  • Individual will have their own Service Truck and must be willing to drive to any of our job sites at any time during their set working hours

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 421A Technician
  • Experience is ideal, but not necessary
  • Passionate about working on heavy equipment
  • Clean abstract required
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Preferred if individuals have their Own Tools
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

310T Truck Mechanic

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
  • Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools
  • Test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
  • Some field work is required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 310T Heavy Truck/Coach License
  • Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel diagnosis and repair
  • Experience with routine/preventative maintenance operations 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Climbing, bending, crouching, lifting
  • Working in an environment with loud noises such as running trucks, air brakes, horns, power tools, etc.
  • Working both indoors and outdoors
